Heat-emitting infrared lamps come in a range of options, but for a printing application they are typically a twin-tube quartz construction. Heating lamps are vital to maintaining a consistent, evenly distributed temperature inside the print chamber. HP's Jet Fusion 5200 and 4200 series 3D printers rely on twin-tube infrared heat lamps for consistent, even heat output and distribution — helping to sinter polymer powder layers for a solid final product.

HP 3D printers are used to print highly durable, complex parts at fast speeds and large volumes. Fannon replacement fusing lamps offer high-temperature heating and fusing capabilities that are a key part of the Multi Jet Fusion (MJF) printing process. Specific temperatures are required to cure powder layers, melting and bonding the powder material to the work piece. As the lamps sweep across the print bed, they deliver intense, localized energy.
