Short-wave lamps offer instant response and operate at higher color temperatures (up to 4,100°F), making them ideal for fast-cycle industrial processes. Medium-wave lamps heat up in under one second and are less color-sensitive to light and dark inks, making them preferable for screen printing and applications requiring gentler, more uniform heat distribution.

Fannon Products' quartz infrared lamps are rated for 5,000+ hours of operation. Good thermal shock resistance and high-quality quartz construction contribute to extended lamp life. Proper installation, correct wattage selection, and avoiding physical contact with the quartz envelope during handling further maximize operational lifespan.
