UV Curable Paint

Sherwin-Williams offers some UV-curable coating products primarily for industrial and wood finishing markets. However, the effectiveness of any UV curable paint depends equally on the quality of the curing system used. Fannon Products' UV LED Curing Systems are compatible with UV curable paints from multiple manufacturers, ensuring optimal cure performance regardless of the coating brand.

UV resin and epoxy each have distinct advantages. UV resin cures in seconds under UV light and is ideal for thin layers, fast production cycles, and applications requiring immediate handling. Epoxy offers deeper penetration and works without specialized equipment but requires longer cure times. For industrial coating and paint curing lines where speed and consistency are critical, UV resin and UV curable paints are generally preferred.

Most UV curable paints and coatings are formulated to respond to UV light in the 365–405nm range. Fannon Products' UV LED Curing Systems operate at 395–405nm, which is highly effective for curing a broad range of UV curable paints, inks, and coatings while offering greater energy efficiency and longer LED lifespan compared to traditional mercury UV lamps.

UV LED curing systems offer significantly lower energy consumption, instant on/off capability, no warm-up time, longer operational lifespan, and reduced heat output compared to traditional mercury UV lamps. Fannon Products offers UV LED Curing Systems in three modular sizes — 3 inch, 6 inch, and 9 inch — with emitting windows ranging from 80×40mm to 240×40mm. All models deliver 16W/cm² power intensity at 395–405nm wavelength. Systems are available in 120V and 220–230V configurations, making them suitable for a wide range of paint curing line setups.
